4. It is not allowed to use atypical for rhythmic gymnastics music/ sounds (for example, sirens, noise of the car engine, etc.)

The routine of the gymnast in a competition is like a small play, which lasts just a few minutes. Coaches often choose different songs from children's films or cartoons for younger gymnasts. Such composition shouldn’t have very fast rhythm and be too energetic as adult gymnasts have.

As a rule, the composition for routine in rhythmic gymnastics depends on the choice of the apparatus. In this kind of sport music primarily sets the style of the whole performance.
